When you have finished downloading Open BVE you can then use the same site to install the Birmingham Cross City South route, which in my view is one of the best ones in existance, and off you go! It took me an hour or so to do all that, maybe longer, but its well worth it,

The page you then get to then provides step by step instructions, and what is so good about it is that it shows pictures of what the various boxes you encounter on the way look like, often with things you need to do circled. Then, when you get that page, click 'Windows XP, Vista and 7' ubder 'Please select your operating system'. When you get onto their home page, click 'help' (one of the options along the red line at the top of the page, and then when on the help screen, click Open BVE Help and Information which is the second section down from the top. So what I did was to download Open BVE, which would have been a major feat but for the excellent instructions on. I can't say that I'm very good on computers, in fact the opposite applies, but I was unfer the impression that it was difficult to get BVE2 or BVE4 to work with Windows 7.
